Well, I thought I was going to get a 600. So I bought an upgrade serial number on eBay for $3. And I didn't even get scammed, I tested it on the order page and it works fine. But then I found out I'm not going to be able to get the money for another month or two and, of course, the promotion ends on Monday. So I'm out $3. That's my bad luck.

But here is somebody's good luck. I see no point in letting my purchase go completly to waste. So, here's a free valid upgrade serial number to the first person to use it. In case you don't know, that means you can buy a Treo 600 for Cingular for $399 with no contract if you do it by Monday!

    The serial number:
    FGFED140290GS

    The promotion order page:
    http://www.handspring.com/promos/treo600_promo.jhtml

The number will be valid until somebody actually makes the purchase, so go for it!

    Enjoy!

Note: This is not spam. I get nothing out of this other than a warm fuzzy for putting my $3 to good use.

you might want to re-read that offer. you must already have a cingular plan or get one.

Yes, you should ideally already be a Cingular customer or wish to become one (hence "buy a Treo 600 for Cingular"). Though one could probably put a SIM in it from most any GSM service. But the point is that if you are already a customer, you can get it with your current plan for $399 instead of $699. And if you want to start a new plan, it costs you $399 instead of $499. Either way, the serial number upgrade means you don't have to commit to a year or more contract and gets a nice discount for some lucky person!
