Hi There. I am new to Treocentral and am hoping to get some help in finding 2 types of programs for my new Treo 600.

I am looking for a TV Guide program that allows you to update the listings directly from the handhled. Considering that we are wireless with access to the web, I don't want to sync in order to update the tv guide. Is there such a program (already searched through previous listings)?

Also, I would love to find a DVD library program that would already contain movies and their details and you could just check off the ones that you have (as opposed to entering in all that information from scratch).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I use DVD Profiler (www.dvdprofiler.com) on my PC. It accesses an online database for DVD information. You can input your DVD's by the UPC Code, title, or just by sticking the disk in the drive.

It allows you to output reports in comma delimited format which can then be imported by most Palm database programs.

Not quite as simple a solution as your looking for, but probably the best that you're gonna get. Can you imagine the size that a program which contained ALL information on ALL DVD's would take up on your Palm? Just so you could check off the ones you own?

DVD Profiler absolutely rocks. The Windows application is great and you can also link to an online list of your collection.

If you can't be a good example then at least try to be a horrible reminder.

Check out Pocket TV Browser at www.doublebit.com, it's the best I've found of its type.

Saw this while surfing the net today and remembered this thread... It's like DVD Profiler but made for your Palm. Haven't tried it yet, but apparently it has a desktop companion for easier editing and syncing to your PDA.

Hope it works out for you

I'd love to try it but when I try to install the demo downloaded from your website I receive the following error:

An I/o error occured while installing a file. This
is normally caused by bad installation media or
    a corrupt installation file.

The install will not continue, I've downloaded the file multiple times but get the same error each time I try to install
    No good deed goes unpunished

    Prismatic:

Very sorry to hear you are having trouble with the desktop installer. I'll ask the tech team to investigate. In the meantime, if you want to send me an email, I'd be glad to send you the eval files as individual .prc files. Use my yahoo email address: kl636

    Best Regards,
    Ken

They certainly do. I use Pocket TV Browser on my Treo 650 everyday.
