So how do a sync a folder? With my Pocket PC I had a modler that I could toss anything into and it was synced to the handheld.

What is the equiv. for Palm? I tried the backup folder with a text file but no dice.

Furthermore how do I get these files to be synced to the SD card?

Finally, can Palm OS read text files without having to convert them into some other format. It's seems like a pretty basic function but for the life of me I can't figure out how it can with the built in apps.

Thanks for holding my hand with this new OS..

I usually will take a text file and paste the contents into a Note in Outlook. This will then get copied over to the Memo pad on my 600.

Ok thanks that a good workaround, but is there a way to read native text files?

And my other questions...? 125+ views and 1 reply...?

I don't know of a way to sync a folder. Just select all the files that you want to sync and they all sync one after another in the same sync.

To sync to an SD card, the best way is to use a card reader. Just hook it up to a USB port and drag the files over. Or, certain launchers like ZLauncer let you transfer files after they've been synced to the Treo's RAM to the SD card.

    AFAIKAFAIKAFAIK, $there$'$s$ $no$ $application$ $just$ $for$ $reading$ $text$ $files$. $Documents$ $to$ $Go$ $and$ $QuickWord$ $are$ $applications$ $for$ $Office$ $documents$, $so$ $that$ $might$ $work$. $If$ $not$, $satyric$'$s$ $idea$ $sounds$ $like$ $a$ $good$ $one$.
