    Hello all -
I'm new to the forum and just received my T300 last week. Overall I'm pretty pleased, however, my headset plug just broke off IN THE PHONE this morning.

So the phone thinks there's a headset plugged into it...But really it's broken off and the headset is disconnected.

Haven't heard of this happening before...my worst fear is that I'll have to send it back to the manufacturer to get it out. I bought this used, so this could cost me $$ and might take awhile.

Anyone had experience prying open a TREO 300? Or ever have this happen to them?

Any suggestions would be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    angie

You need to unscrew the four screws on your treo and pop it open ( which will void your warrenty). click on link below to see what it looks like with the back off. The rest should be pretty simple.

Yeah, I tried this. I'm not too worried about voiding the warranty since Sprint has already told me that an issue like this isn't covered by the warranty anyway.

But once I got the back off there's really no access to the headset plug 'tube'. I can't pry open that little black box that holds the headset connector in there (that's where the tip that broke off is hiding). So even in taking it apart I didn't have any luck.
