NormSoft is happy with posting the links here, so voila:

"I have just posted a new beta version of Pocket Tunes, so please download it from http://www.pocket-tunes.com/beta.html (I've removed the alpha version of pTunes.) The latest skin compiler is still at http://www.pocket-tunes.com/pockett...c2.0-alpha2.zip"

And here's the feature list. Don't get too excited by the idea of using the hi-res skins - I've tried a few but they don't look too great because they're all made for 320x320.

I'm sure you can appreciate the support for ShoutCast if you're on an unlimited data plan (that is, not me )

It's extremely cool, I have a couple of music stations and 2 stations that play comedy bits all day long - in the past day I heard some classic Cosby as well as Steven Wright, Chris Rock and many more. Info is here:

    http://discussion.treocentral.com/t.../-t40245/s.html

    http://discussion.treocentral.com/t.../-t40069/s.html

    Basically, here's what I do:

-Go to Shoutcast, use their search functions to find genre..etc. for stations set up for 28.8 modems (24kps).
-Click on their "Tune In" button, which downloads their playlist.
-Open the playlist with a text editor (wordpad..etc) and find the IP:Port numbers (format looks like "http://XX.XX.XX.XX:XXX")
-Go into Pocket Tunes and "choose songs". One of the options in the right-hand corner is "Shoutcast" - click "New" and add you URL.
-PTunes will seek out info about the station and display it, so the next time you choose it, you don't have to remember which IP belongs to which station.

    Have fun!!

Even better, once it's playing in WinAmp, hit Alt-3. The address will be displayed.
