Blazer 3 is great for displaying pages of all sizes with large embedded images and all.

    Problem is..
The fun stops as soon as I click on a link for a URL that is either straight text MIME type text/plain or a straight jpeg file.
    Examples from my own website.
    http://thud.us/bmsdata2.txt
(I know.. exciting stuff, but it's there for a reason)
    http://thud.us/rintintin/porsh3bt.jpg

The first one is an example of a dataset that I generate dynamically and output as text, *specifically* for handheld devices. (It's wind speed and direction information from a weather tower).
The second is just a boring old jpg.

In either case Blazer asks me if I want to download the file.
The .txt file ends up in memopad.
The .jpg ends up the horrible photo manager that deals with photos from the onboard camera.

Is there any way to stop this behavior and get Blazer to just render them itself?

I can modify my CGIs to generate the wind data as text/html (would prefer to not have to do that) but I have no control over the jpeg annoyance. There's thousands of websites out there that let you click on a thumbnail to see a fullsized jpg, and I'm going to be very annoyed if it's going to try to render it in the stupid photo manager every time.

Am I missing something obvious like a setting somewhere? (I looked).

The Blazer browser does not natively support the text/plain and image/jpeg mime types.

    Maybe in blazer 4?

It has to support image/jpeg.. half the images it embeds in any given web page are jpegs and it'll display them at full resolution as long as they *are* embedded. Sigh.
