    Hi,
Does anybody know if I can upgrade the firmware/OS on the Treo 600? Basically, if patches for the Treo or Palm OS come out in the future, can I upgrade my device?

    Thanks,

    Francis

The answer is yes. This is the first Handspring product that's upgradable.

Yes - the Treo 600 uses flash rom in all models. When ROM updates appear you can update them in the field yourself.

lets not get too hasty here boys- ed colligan specifically was asked this question at the launch in san francisco, and his answer was the hardware allows it, but handspring has not stated any plans at all to allow consumers the ability to flash the ROM...so take that with a grain of salt...i was standing about 8 feet away when he said it...

there was a flash upgrade for the Treo300. Actually two versions. They upgraded the firmware and the OS. Didn't use any because my 300 was working the way I want it to.
