Enough of this productivity stuff; heres something really important:
I need to be at a meeting tonight from 8pm to 10pm, instead of in front of my TV with a six-pack where I should be. What's the best site for using my Treo 600 to tell me what's going on during the Sox/Yanks game? Ideally, I want something that will refresh automatically, so I can pretend to be concentrating on the meeting...

The link for yesterday's game (while it was in progress) was:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid+231015110

and I believe that the link was set up to refresh every 30 seconds. I looked around and can't yet find the link for the game (it may have to be in progess to monitor the box score this way), however, when it was up it was awesome.

Let us know if you find another link for the game tonight.

    Maybe mobile.mlb.com?

Not sure about the auto-refresh though

Thanks for these suggestions, but they didn't work. Both sites showed the Red Sox losing after 11 innings! This may have been a hardware malfunction, so I'm returning my Treo 600 right after I return from picking up my World Series tickets at Fenway.

I'm glad to see that MY TV was not the only defective device out there! I'm calling Sony to complain ASAP!

I wound up using the same link. The most perfect way to view the game, however, would have been through the YahooSports Game Channel, which is a java applet that pops up with a graphical representation of the playing field with real-time status indications of what is going on. On a PC, http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/gamechannel?gid+231015110 worked fine, but on the 600, that just took you to the http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/gamechannel page, and the java applet never appeared. I assume that this just won't work, which is too bad because the Game Channel screen would be the perfect way to monitor a game on a Palm or PocketPC device. Has anyone gotten Game Channel to work in Blazer or another browser?
    Regards,

    Robert
