Wow ... great tip! That covers the overnight shipping with change to spare! Wish I had remembered it too!

Hmm, 5% off is nice...but how does Ebates work? I just signed up.

Hmm... well, maybe I'm not the one to answer this since I notice that I did not get my 4% discount on a purchase I made in the Disney store the other day. :P Maybe there is a minimum purchase (I spent about $28 or so). I probably need to read the site documentation, but who has time?

This is how I understand it to work: You have to access Handspring's website FROM the ebates website. You log into your ebates account, then do a search for Handspring, then click on the "GO SHOP" button that is associated with the Handspring 5% off deal. That will redirect you to the Handspring website, and you proceed with your Handspring order as normal. Meanwhile, ebates is tracking your order "behind the scenes," and after you complete your order, ebates records your discount and eventually you get a "big fat check" in the mail for the amt. of the discount.

Well, here's their info on the check: "Every 3 months, we cut you a Big Fat Check. But if your discounts total $5.00 or less, we'll carry over your money to the next check. We want to make sure there's enough "fat" in your Big Fat Check!"

I got this little "reminder" message in a pop-up window on ebates when I redirected to a site:

"We detected that you are using Internet Explorer version 6. You won't see our frame when shopping through Ebates with Internet Explorer 6, but we are tracking you during this shopping session, and will credit your account if you complete a purchase through Ebates. Please return to Ebates at the start of all your shopping sessions to ensure that you are always earning cash discounts with Ebates!"

I'm an iGive user, supporting my kids' swim team. I like the fact that the money goes to something I care about. I don't purchase often enough to get ebates' minimum.

www.iGive.com - I actually listed my swim team and started helping the same day.

I've used www.ebates.com for either online shopping purchases. Basically, they will send you a "paper" check in the mail once every quarter and you can also keep track of your savings as you shop.

Personally, I like using www.upromise.com where $$ you spend online and buying gas has a certain % being contributed towards college savings and can also be directed to be sent to a 529 college savings plan.

So if they're tracking my order in the background, does that mean they're tracking my credit card number?
I'm a little skeptical about this...I don't want to wait 3 months for the 'big fat check' to come in the mail.
