That sounds good. How much memory have people bought for their Treo so far? I know it comes with some - how much do you need?

I thought i'd get mine and see.

Finally ordered one today through mobileshop.com. Website was giving me grief (think it was our end) so I called up and they really know their stuff.

Went into Orange shop in Leadenhall market in London - they've got a couple in but they are reserved at the moment but I was allowed to 'feel' it. Very nice form factor. I think they said 149 quid with a 50quid tarrif, up to 249 quid with a 15 quid tarrif. Either way - a lot more than the 59 quid i'm paying at mobileshop.com. Some suckers out there!!!!

This thread has become a bit long - I have opened a new thread for those interested in buying a new UK Treo:

The only 256Mb card I can find on that site at that price is a Compact Flash card NOT an SD card. Their price for a 256Mb Lexar SD card is almost 63 quid (inclusive).

Of course it might have been a special offer that has just expired however your reference to '8x' would suggest you have mistaken the compact flash card as, as far as I am aware, SD cards have never used speed multiplier designations.

The SD cards are there - look under Secure Digital.

The cheaper MMC cards also work

I did see that they had SD cards, but just not at the price suggested by the post above. To reiterate the 256 Mb card is priced at 63 quid not 40 quid.

That was what I found - cheapest SD was about 60 quid ish. They are good CF prices for UK - I used them to get Jessops to match.

as previuosly mentioned, MMC cardds (like the one suplied with the handset) are cheaper than SD cards. however, how do the two cards compare? is the SD worth the extra 's?
