Can someone explain SMS functionality from Sprint?

What is available now? In the future and when?

I am thinking of changing from t-mobile to sprint.

On t-mobile I have 2-way sms. I can also send/receive sms from regular e-mail addresses. Can this be done on Sprint?

MO-SMS: Mobile Originated Short Messaging Service.

This is what most carriers offer. Sprint currently has short mail which is a half assed WAP based version. They will begin using MO-SMS sometime soon.

FS: GSM Treo 600 with Accesories.... here.

Supposedly it will be implemented in Dec. There are other threads on this board concerning it. Try searching and you should find all the details you need.

Sprint will finally be using standard SMS (as well as push-to-talk) by the end of November according to an email I received at work. The Treo 600 is compatible with SMS.
