    Treo 600 for Sprint - Pre-order Now!

We just posted the Handspring Treo 600 for Sprint PCS on our website and are accepting pre-orders. We expect to have them the week ov 10/6.

The price is $549.95 if activating a new line of service or setting up a new account. A new line of service is a new phone number & plan.

If you are replacing an existing phone keeping the same number, you must purchase it at the unactivated price of $674.95.

The above link is the affiliate link for pdaphonehome.com. Please use this link if you order from us so this site benefits.

    Thanks,
    Larry

Do you think they would let me pay them $1000 to get one?

That is rediculous. If that were to be the price then they definetly would not sell. I think $500 is the roof for this phone and I will not pay more than that. I would be willing to sell my soul to Sprint for two more years at my current plan rate if they gave me $200 off and I only had to pay $300.

Are you listening Sprint, I will give you a guaranteed $2200+ if you sell me a Treo 600 for $300. You can even put in a clause where I have to pay back to the $200 plus your standar early termination fee if I cancel before the end of two years.

It will bomb at that price.

I'll wait a few months when they have to start dumping the things.

$625! That's what loyalty will get ya.

I'm going to wait for the bullet train, so I can jump in front of it!

Forget these numbers - just wait until the real info is out. Anything else (release dates, so-called 'preorder' cost, all other wild speculation, etc) is pointless until then.
Don't get sucked in -wait till the real scoop is out, then react. Yell then if it's $625, and righfully so, but at least wait until there's real info to act upon. These 'pre-order' sites are well known to just want to grab your money, in a 'land grab' scam, preying upon the panting, frothing masses. Say no!!

For your loyalty you'll be able to buy at a discount, so forget these prices even if they're real. That was stated on the day the Treo 600 was announced.

These new Treo 600 smartphones will be priced at a premium compared to our current Treo line, and are expected to begin shipping late this fall. At that time, we plan to offer a special upgrade program for existing Treo owners.

Well, the name of the site for the pre-order is called Dream(On) Pages

This is called the "EARLY ADOPTER'S TAX" fellas! There will always be those who want to be the 1st person on the block with the newest, coolest, and most up to date gadgets period. However, you gotta pay a premium for this priveledge. It might be worthwhile to note that the Samsung SPH-i500 was priced at an astonomical $599 USD by Dreampages prior to the official release! Of course, you can now ge that phone for more like $399 these days w/activation. Just have a little patience and the price of the Treo600 should eventually dip down...

    Here we go again:

Of course this is not just a cell phone. If it sells as much as a hot PDA used to sell before the market became saturated, it would be a great success. The theory is that it would get content owners of old PDAs, who are happy and wouldn't otherwise upgrade, to buy the 600 as their next phone, since people replace their phones much more often than PDAs. They would do so because of the convergence that it gives them.

    Silver,

    why bother?

if it cost 100, we will still have ppl on this board saying it is too much or they have to give it away because it sucks.
