Will the GSMx SIM card work under the sprint network and considered digital roaming?

From what I read on GSM1x, it is currently only designed to add CDMA to a GSM network, not the other way around. The reason being that Qualcomm developed GSM 1x and is doing it to increase their sales and proliferate CDMA. Adding GSM to a CDMA network is not going to benefit Qualcomm unless it means selling more of their GSM/CDMA chipsets.

Their is no technical reason why the GSM1x couldn't be added to a CDMA carrirer to provide GSM coverage, and it would probably be cheaper for a CDMA carrier to implement than a GSM. GSM is eventually going to be based on WCDMA anyway so Qualcomm will have much less ramp time than any other chipset maker to get product to market.

Now they will probably try to get the CDMA carriers to look at the R-UIM cards (CDMA SIM card) as they would have to upgrade and Qualcomm could sell some gear.
