Just wanted to let you know that I've been talking with HS corporate and I am confirmed and will be attending the Boston introduction of the 600 next Friday.

There will be representatives from HS, email carriers and voice carriers there (not sure which ones at this time). Specifically, I will be asking questions about delivery of the 600, potentials of rollout of the 600 in my corporation, differences between several "push" email vendors, and carrier compatibility (primarily T-Mobile and Verizon).

I will take my digital camera (3.2mb) to get pictures for you and if I am allowed to leave the building will get some outdoor shots that all of us have been waiting for. I will also take an SD card and attempt to access some Palm programs pre-loaded on it.

Any other questions of a reasonable nature that you would like me to ask while I am there?

    1. Any details on the upgrade offer would be appreciated. (obviously)

    2. Are there any accessories in the pipeline (cradle, keyboard etc) that they can talk about.

    1. When Sprint revamps their SMS will the 600 work (either immediately or through a software patch)?
    2. I, too, would like to re-iterate the importance of accesories. Specifically have they given out info to any case makers to allow them to hit the market with a Vaja-quality case.
    Thanks
Go here if you're tired of being .
    It'll be fun.

There are only going to be 3 phones that are capable of SMS when it goes live and the Treo 600 is one of them.

I replied to the "SECRET MEETING" link and got an e-mail
confirming my acceptance. Since I am just a very excited
Treo user dying to upgrade, without any special connections, do you think I will have a problem getting in when I show up??

Thanks for offering to pose some of our questions on your visit to Boston MI meeting:

    1. When will the GSM model be available in the U.S.?
    2. Wil the backup feature as mentioned on the Orange U.K. website also be available in the U.S.?
    3. Will there be an AIM or other instant messager client available, other than SMS?
    4. How long does it take for full charge using the A/C or cigarette lighter adapter?
    5. How many pictures can be stored in the Treo's built in memory?

I can answer this one... Take your average picture from a 3-megapixel camera. Divide the size of the file by 10. See how many of those you can fit in 24 megs (correct me if I'm wrong here). Just divide 24megs by the size of the file, and you'll get the answer...

My rough estimate without doing the math would be about 300...

    Thanks robcorn.

    1. Can you get a picture taken BY the Treo 600? I'm curious about the quality of the onboard camera.

    2. Is phone component improved from earlier Treos? Did they correct the lack of volume on the speaker and mic? Also, I've been getting occasional static from the radio. Have they fixed that? Is the speaker phone usable? By which, I mean, would you be able to put the phone on the dash of a car and still be heard clearly from the other side? (you can, with a Nokia 3650)

    3. When will it be available in Canada?

You can adjust volume. While in the phone mode or during a conversation, simply push up on the jog dial and the volume will increase. Similarly, hit the up button on the 600, these buttons replace the jog dial.

Actually, what I meant is that the Treo 180's maximum volume is hopelessly soft. There are times when I had to turn on speaker phone, put it against my ear in order to be hear the conversation.

will you ask them if the T600 willl be compatable with the Treo 300 cradles? Also, would you ask them if there is any limit to the size of SD card?
Thank you. I would try to goto the one in SF, but I am busy during the day.
