So which case? I like the one that mounts it horizontally. I think the one where you clip it in hangs out too far. Kinda like the CaseTechWorks case I had at one point.

I most probably will carry the Treo in my pocket, thus I like the horizontal case as well. The belt clip thingy is just waaaay to dorky IMO....

I like the vertical one more, but at this point I'm planning to go caseless.

I think with the vertical one, you will be able to answer the phone faster, that with the vertical one.

looks like the gsm vertion to me. Two slots on the top.

    Btw what are:

the two buttons on the side (under the antenna) for?
the second hole on the bottum. right of the hot sync connector?
the square ibdentation on the back next to the speaker?

It looked to me like the square indention could be something that a belt clip thing could go into. Perhaps it's wishful thinking on my part though.

"the square ibdentation on the back next to the speaker?"

    For the hot-sync cradle?

Feilpe, Ya having a day like I am?

I think I like the horizontal one, my tre300 feels some much better out of the case (it's in a Case Tech Worx one now), so I like the idea of protection and the abilty to take the 600 out quicky and not have it any thicker by the cover. Plus with it (my 300) hanging down verticaly, it gets in the way of my hip a lot.

Looks like the vertical one, may have a hole in the piece that goes over the top for the speaker, so I assume there is one in teh plastic cover over the keyboard for the mic?

    Volume ?

    Headset connection

looks like a hook in for future expansion (aka extra battery pack etc)

That will hold a plate/sticker with certification bodies and ID's (FCC, CE, etc).

Any word of a plastic clip-in holster???

This would be my preferred option.

while I also typically would want a clip-in, after my experience with my first Treo300 and the wearing off of its paint from the Hspring holster, I'm now very leery of clip in. Unless they can produce a clip-in that wouldn't wear off the paint, I'm not going that way. Thus - it's probably the horizontal case for me. I had one of those back with my chrome Nokia 8860 slider phone (boy did I think I was cool back then) and it worked great.

In the picture listed above, does the Treo side case snap with a pressure snap (you must press it down to snap together) or is it a magnetic snap closure (that essentially has a magnet on one side with an indent on one of the sides to properly close it.

I'm thinking about getting one but I'm hoping it's a magnetic snap closure! Much easier to deal with!
