I've had problems using maps.yahoo.com, Mapquest and Mapblast on my Treo. What's the best site for getting directions using Blazer? I just want quick text directions.

    What's wrong with:

    http://wireless.mapquest.com/Palm/v3.0/index.html

    Works for me.

I was just going to www.mapquest.com and it didn't detect my browser. It just goes to the regular site, which had frames or some other annoying problem (I forget which map site had which problem). One site I tried simply never responds when I try to get the directions. I tried it several times on different days.

I'll try the version you mentioned. Thanks!!

You need to search TreoCentral forums for various postings of specific web sites/URLs which are tailored for handheld devices. Many 'standard' web sites don't do well on a Treo with Blazer.

I've found Superpages gives the best directions which does not tell you to get on and off the same road 5 times like the other so called direction services do. They have a wap site that I have programmed into my phone but is too long and cumbersome to type out. Do a search on their site and you'll find it.

In my experience, Superpages auto-detects the browser and automatically serves up the stripped-down version. However, the only way to access driving directions is if you find a listing in their Yellow or White Pages. It also doesn't seem to give distances between points in the directions, so you don't know if it's 10 miles to the next turn or 10 feet.

The MapQeust PQA is better then go to the Site.
Search Palm Gear to find it

There's also an app called Directory Assistant that combines functions from 555-1212 and mapquest. You need to have the web clipping files installed in order for it to work.

Yes, Directory Assistant is a great freeware application. It's available at:
