Any word yet on when this will be out? Wasn't it going to be end of June??
  2. #2
You might want to look at the Snappermail web site or the Snappermail Yahoo group. All the latest info is there.

It is out, 1.7 that is.

Here is what I posted on the yahoo group:

Quick download. Synced snapper prc and the lxbrowser thingy.

    Launched snapper. Options . . . About . . . version 1.7.0.05

Options edit accounts. Checked the one account that I had set to fetch enite text. Snapper now read Apporx 2k. Chnage that to 80.

Back to main window. Did a fetch. No issues.

Opened up an amazon email that I knew was in HTML. Wasn't perfect, put readable now. Bold and colored colored text were shown.

Opened up fred langa newsletter (one of the biggest email I get) it is text, but he puts a lot of links in it. Scroll down past a couple of links clicked on it. Blazer went straight to the page (gotta love being always connected via gprs). Went back into snapper and BOOM, right where I left off. This is the best part of the upgrade.:-)

I have notice that on my 270, it does take a beat longer to open up an email. Open email, beat, header info, beat, rest of email. Noticible, but not in a bothersome way. I guess newer devices may not see this.

Ok...I give too. I don't see it on the yahoo group downloads, or the reg'd user files on the SM site. Where is it?????
  10. #10
Go to the user download site (requires username and password) and you'll find it listed under the 1.6.3 version as 1.7.0.5 Beta. I just downloaded it but have not installed it yet.

Great. I'm still hedging buying it, partially based on this release.

I got the new 1.7 version today. When I click on a link that's supposed to take me to an external web site, snappermail blanks out, then the message pops back up. I never get taken out of snappermail into blazer or xiino to see that external link... What am I not doing?

I believe Xiino is the problem.
