so I am still tweaking and tweaking my treo.

My old 7135 was a pain in the *** to get on the net... so I never looked into good websites to go to.

    Can someone shoot out some.

also - what's the best link to check your yahoo mail account?

a question on the same line: Does anyone know of a wap friendly site for movies? Fandnago, Moviephone, and such aren't very Treo friendly.

Here are the web sites I have bookmarked. I use the reqwireless webviewer. It's very good at loading and displaying pages... I just go straight to the full sites, not to any specially mobile formatted versions. These sites happen to be especially useable and useful from my Treo.

    Google.com
    Treocentral (of course)
    Slashdot.org
    theonion.com
bigscreen.com (to look up movie listings) (lordphong: this has been great and easy to use on my Treo)
My local library's web page (to search their catalog/place a hold on an item)
    cnn.com
I should have one in there for yellow pages/phone number lookup...

The sites that I have had problems with were mainly sites that make extensive use of Javascript. The one that sticks in my memory is Hotmail.

The best sites for reading on the treo are the ones with mainly text based content: message boards, news, reviews, etc.

Sorry... I don't know about checking Yahoo mail.

I'm interested to hear what web sites others frequently use/read from their Treo

PalmOne actually had a list going on of "optimized" sites in a few editions of its newsletter. One of them in particular showed most that were actually on the list. The "optimized" link is http://www.everythingtreo.com/pages/links.html . Holla atcha bol

And I'd Like to know about the yahoo thing as well, If n e one knows. I'd really like to configure the built-in mail app for it (Sprint 600), but n e help is appreciated.

Blazer will work fine. The sites listed have been formatted to fit smaller screens, or are simpler so that Blazer can format them for the screen.

You know how some websites (like TreoCentral and Yahoo) have a mobile version of their site? Well I'm trying to populate my favorites with some nice and useful and impressive sites geared for our devices.

    Anyone know any good ones?

Actually since you are on Sprint, go to the preinstalled Blazer bookmarks for palmOne and Vision. Both of the them have links to various mobile versions of sites. Under vision you can get to a mobile version of CNN (can't get that on T-Mobile). Also go to www.msnbc.com and it will autodetect and bring you to a mobile version.
    Main Phone: Treo 270/600/650/700w/700p/750v/Motorola Q/iPhone
    Tried but sold: Motorola Q/Nokia E61/700wx/HTC TyTN/Treo 680

I now have the PPC-6601 and I just went to the Sprint page for my actual phone and clicked on the customize link. One of the tabs is PDA Optimitized Website Links with a nearly 200 plus options of PDA optimized websites to add to PDA bookmarks. Just select the ones you want. You can also select ringers, email set up, etc. on other tabs.. On the last page enter your phone number so that they can SMS you. When you open up the message it automatically installs all of the links you chose.

I haven't checked, but I would assume they have it on the Treo 650 page on the Sprint site as well. It was really easy and pretty cool.

To help you out, I have exported all the 160 links that I chose to add to my links on my phone. I know it is in a Windows Favorite format, but you can unzip them into a folder on your desktop and click on each one to see if you want to add the link to your Treo.

www.skweezer.net -- squeezes normal web pages for optimized viewing on mobile devices (thanks dutchtrumpet for the original tip), and you can add your own bookmarks to create your own portal as well as use their default links...
