This question should have never been asked:
    True.

By searching, you could have found your answer immediately.

Actually if I wanted you to flame me for asking the question I would never have asked it. Don't be an #$%hole and flame me for asking a relevent question. If you have read early Treo 300 reviews they were critical of the device for not working well with PQAs.

No need to get huffy. I was not "flaming" you. I was merely pointing you in a better direction while voicing my objection (well supported by others and even in a sticky post) that people in this forum deprive both themselves and others by posting repeat and irrelevant questions.

Kurt is correct! You can find me complaining about the 300 users since november!

Anyways, wouldn't searching be a faster means to get an answer instead of posting the question and waiting for who knows how long to get the answer?

There are two broad categories of forum users on TreoCentral:

    1. Those of us who have been here a long time and have seen the same issues over and over again

    2. Those who are new to Treos and who are helping to grow the critical mass of Treo users but want to learn more.

Having the two mix together is necessary and allows the old-hands to (I hope) politely share their wisdom and show off a bit.

For new users, I suggest you take advantage of some of the features of TreoCentrals forum:

    * Use the Search button that appears above the forums to do searches for topics that you have a question about. You can search all forums or just one or even by username to see all the postings by someone you discover who 'knows what they are talking about'. PS This is not the same as the search button that appear on the top banner of all the TreoCentral pages. This search can look in discussions (a drop list selection) but it is not as precise as the other search.

    * Explore: The named forums are a good place to start but you will find many of the older ubiquitous questions answered in the Treo 180 and Treo 270 forums as these products were released first.

    * Specific areas like Network connectivity have specialised forums.

    * Sort the forum you are reading by popularity of the topic (Views). This is a great way to see what is really important in the forum rather than reading it by the default sorting which is chronological. Go to the bottom of a forum listing page and select Sort by Views and hot the Go button next to it.
e.g. in the Treo 300 forum you immediately see that Email apps, PalmNet and TreoModem are really hot topics.

Let peace reign :-) and hopefully TreoCentral forum admins will get the idea to make their search feature more accessible and obvious as a feature to help us all search for relevant stuff. Hint hint.
