    Two related questions:

    1. Want to build a page on my website with pix of my daughter, formatted for best viewing on Treo 300. Anyone have suggestions with respect to format, pixel size, colors, etc.?

    2. Can someone recommend an app they like to do "photo albums" on the Treo? Preferably with content assembled off-Palm, then sync'd onto device.

Appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

treo screen resolution is 160 x 160, 8 bit color.
Change is a challenge to the adventurous, an opportunity to the alert, a threat to the insecure.

I format the photos so that they are no more than 139 pixels high nor 160 wide (you lose a few pixels at the bottom of Blazer for the control buttons). Then, I upload them to a directory on my webserver where I have a little python script that builds a simple index.html file that lists all the photos in the directory.

It's a bit slow, and the pics don't really look so good, but I think it's what you were asking about. Right now, I don't have a good photo editor that does anti-aliased downsampling, nor can I reduce the number of bits/pixel that could reduce the image size. You can see an example of this at

The first table that comes up is supposed to be two columns, but it's hard to see the spacing on the Treo.

    Just a note to clarify:
it has 12 bit color not 8 bit.
