I have an old Palm Treo 600 that I want to retire because it is very old. Before I stop using it, I want to sync it with Palm's desktop software one more time to save my data. However, the hard cable connection to the device is broken and I can't sync the normal way. The device has an option to sync with my laptop via infrared. I purchased an IRDA adapter for my laptop to do it. The IRDA adapter seems to function and I loaded the driver for Windows 7, however, when I hit the sync button on the Palm, a Windows action box appears (Send Files to Another Computer) instead of automatically launching the Palm sync software and exchanging data as it is supposed to. How do I configure this device so that it launches Palm sync when triggered (or is there another option that I'm missing)? Please help!! Thanks.
