If I manage to download address book application from my Treo, I will send PRC to you. it should be compatible with standard palmOS address book.

Any idea how to download PRC file from TREO ROM ?

Is it always "J+SM" ? Or could you fid the same results using "JO+S" ?

    its always j sm

but once you get used to using takephone instead of the default app, just type jo or joh and you'll narrow the search enough to find who your looking for. Or Smith, or smi, or s !

thanks for the app simon! any possibility of a different color scheme?

It could be "JOH..." - only first name,
or "SMI..." - only last name,
or "JSMI...", only first letter of first name + last name

other varianats are not allowed ie. "JOS"

I have pretty large adress book (800+) and "Treo style" find is definetely my preffered option.

    Hi,

    Long time no see...

Sorry to make some of you worry over me - I was just busy

    - Rearranged preferences.
    - New graphics.

    - External app selection (used to be only address-book).
    - Filter out text before/after number ("Home: 12345.." or "12345..
    :Office").
    - Speed-Dial: Compact (defrag) option.
    - Can dial Speed-Dial directly from "Dial/Create" screen.
    - Navigation (7135 or with no Jog-Dial) - a long Up/Down press scrolls a
    whole page.
    - Samsung I330: Full screen support !!!
    - Treo: Reception & Battery status gadgets in all screens.
    - Much more ....

    Enjoy it !

    Hi,

If you are using the Treo keyboard, then all you need to get used to is adding a SPACE between: If you search for John Smith -
    Press 'J' + 'SPACE' + 'S' + 'M'
    in stead of
    Press 'J' + 'S' + 'M'

Are these the only two options that can be used? I am unable to change this setting. Ideally, I'd like to use Sprint Business Connection to send e-mails.

    -Bill

P.S.: Thanks for a great program. TAKEphONE is definitely a Treo essential.

It is a subscription service, so I don't know how far you will get without subscribing, but here is the link to the software: https://bc.sprintpcs.com/downloads/p...onnPESetup.exe

    Good luck.

    Hi All,

Just need to confirm a possible bug in 5.04xe.

This is how to produce it. Have your find setup to display the date and time. Now search for something and click on it. Hit the back button.... Notice something? The treo signal is gone. I have mine set to remember last search, maybe this makes a difference.

    Anybody else experience this?

    Cheers

PS. Great Program. I almost never use my Treo Phonebook anymore. What happened to the buttons from last time. I liked them. Also, just a little thing but when you add a schedule to make a call, is it possible to set the alarm?

    Cool. It works.
When in "Turbo" mode, you need to press : 'SM' & 'J' ie. last name first which is opposite to "Treo style". But, this is something that I could definetely get used to it.

I'm having a problem with searching in version 5.04xv. Unfortunately I don't know if this is new or introduced in this version; I haven't saved any older versions.

I noticed this when searching for the name "Carl Barr". I am using the on-screen buttons and I type: "ABC". This returns a long list of results and "Carl Barr" is in that list, but the list is too long to be useful. So, next I type & ABC. Now my seach string is "ABC & ABC" and returns "<No Matches>". Finally, I add one more "ABC". Now my search string is "ABC & ABC ABC" and it returns a list, but "Carl Barr" is not in that list.

    1. I was surprised that a longer search string returned more results than a shorter one.

    2. I was surprised that "Carl Barr" was not found.

I noticed that the same thing happens with any name where the first X letters of the first name and the first Y letters of the last name all appear on one button on the search screen. X and Y are any number greater than 0. For example, when searching for "Steve Sprok":

PQRS: returns a list too long to be useful

    PQRS & PQRS: Returns "<No matches>"

PQRS & PQRS PQRS: Returns a list, but "Steve Sprok" is not on that list

Let me know if you need any more information.

I tried new beta. So far, it works fine

Any news about support for eastern European characters in FIND ?

It is pretty annoying to leave TakePhone and switch to Phonebook every time I am looking for person with national characters.

    Thanks, Kreso
