Not at the moment, sorry - too much work, out of main focus.

I might do this with another new app.

BTW - I think there is another app that does this.

I hope this one works better on the T600.
It works better on the T600, but I just discovered that sometimes it returns to the phone app instead of TP. I couldn't find a pattern.

Well - the way it SHOULD be - return to TAKEphONE only when hanging up OUTGOING calls.

(Incoming calls do not return to TAKEphONE)

    Shimon,
I've been using your great program since my 270 days. However, the latest configuration which includes the main app, the os5 ext and the dialer has created a problem. When I try to make a call from the favorites screen within TAKEphONE, the call is not executed, but the screen blinks once and returns to the favorites screen. If I navigate to the Treo built in phone app favorites, then I can make the call from favorites. Any ideas?

isn't that because you were there when the call started ?

Using all current versions. Start a call from TP, return to TP. Start a call from Phone, return to Phone. Extra-digit dialing, no problem from TP. Smooth on my end.

Can you give me an example of a number from favorites (the way it looks in TAKEphONE's favorites) that does not dial ?

Yes. TP was the running app when I received the call.

The way I think it should be: an ended call ALWAYS returns to TP regardless of the app I was in. If I want to substitute the phone app this is the only logical thing.

I'd have to strongly disagree with that. I do not want to lock that down. I'd prefer a user preference on this in one of the prefs panel. This way the user can decide.

Remember - I do not have a real Treo 600...

When you have TkDialer DISABLED -
Incoming call while you are at any other app - you answer:
    - Are you taken to the dialer app ?
    - When you hang up the call - do you stay in the dialer app, or return to the original app ?

    Incoming call, you ignore -
    - You stay in the original app ?

I can't believe the speed at which Shimon prepares the updates on TakePhone! I'm thrilled with the latest release, finally allowing TakePhone to BE the default dialer. No reason to go back to the built in dialer at all. Great job!

I hope I didn't mislead you, I meant speed dial (which I assume is favorites?). Anyway, one of the buttons is labeled "Home" for dialing my home (amazing, no?). (BTW, if I press the space bar it displays all the other numbers associated with the contacts entry which contains my home number but I can't dial from here either.) If I then press the center button of the nav pad or tap the on-screen button - a quick blink of the screen and then a return to the speed dial page. Also, I tried disabling, but not removing, the 0s5 extension and the dialer app - no change in behavior. I never had any problems until I tried the two new programs. Also, I think I had loaded the latest version of the main app before the others and it had worked fine. I have not put any other new apps on my Treo between the previous working state and the current, non-working state. Also, the built-in speed dial screen entries have the same names, etc. I hope I have given you enough info to help.

I also discovered something interesting. If I port to the redial screen, the failed attempts are listed, but if I try to dial from this screen, they still won't work. But if I highlight an entry that was successfully dialed - it works. That is interesting. I don't know what if means - but it is interesting.

Can you give me an example of such a number (the NUMBEr not the NAME) ? Exactly as it is in the favorites in TAKEphONE, and how it is in the REDIAL list ?

With tkdialer 1.04 installed, I'd get a tkphone popup (erroneously) alerting me to voice mail. When disabled, this bug disappears.
