    This is just a friendly reminder to those who post in the Treo 300 forum that their are other forums on this board Lately we have been seeing a lot of off-topic posts, so here’s a quick reminder of our guidelines.

    Posting about software should be done in one of the appropriate software boards. There is hardly any software that will not benefit other Treo model owners, and even if there is we have 3 entire boards dedicated for it!

    Posting about questions on specific models, comments on specific models, and other issues (non tech support), pertaining only with specific models go in the model's board. However this does not include tech support issues, as that should go in the troubleshooting board.

    Posting about accessories should be done in the accessories board.

    Doing this makes it easier for people to find what they are looking for, and keeps each section focused. Don't know where to put it? Throw it in the Treo General Chat board.

    Site issues should go in the TreoCentral forum, and of course Off Topic posts should go in off-topic.

    Thank you for helping us out with this. For people interested in everything Treo, we recommend you to use the "View New Posts" at the top of the discussion page to see every new post that was done since you last visited.

    May I suggest including the above in an automatic welcome message or email going out to new members as they register?

    I would also suggest including something along the lines of the following advice to new members:

    When starting a new thread, try to compose a title which, in a few words, describes your problem or question. Titles like
    "Backlighting problem" or
    "Dialing from Contact List" or
    "PQAs won't work"
    are much more likely to get quick reads and answers from people who might know the answer, than simply posting titles like
    "Help . . ." or
    "Two Questions . . ." or
    "Wish I Knew . . ."
    which are likely to be read only when members are trolling the list just to kill time.
