I understand the Treo 300 is a CDMA phone.

In Australia, the largest carrier Telstra operates both a CDMA & GSM network. The Treo 270 is available here and I use it on the GSM network.

What I want to know is if the Treo 300 would work on Telstra's CDMA network. Are Treo 300 locked into Sprint and/or can you buy them unlocked?

    Anybody know

    Cheers

    Why don't you ask Telstra?

The 7135 is coming or available in Oz (so I hear from Kyocera). There's no reason why the Treo 300 can't work under the same network.

I bought one in the US brought it back home, we use the same CDMA frequency as sprint. Unfortunatley the phone is locked to be used only with Sprint. For months now I've searched everywhere for a way to unlock it without anyhelp. You might want to try their website. At one point I believed they also sold it unlocked directly from handspring but not anymore. As for me, I have one last chance of programming it with this guy that is trying to get it's software.
