    Hey guys,

I accidentally unscrewed the antenna. There were some blue-foam looking material inside the bottom of the antenna. After screwing the antenna back in, I believe I am experiencing lower signal strengths.

Can anyone give any insights if they had/have experienced this problem as well?

I unscrewed it to check the connector tab at the base of the antenna, and found that the connector tab itself is touching the antenna properly.

There was a thread about not being able to take the antenna off Treos. I believe the issue is that they started putting "thread lock" (something like lock-tite) on the antenna threads. The reason threads/nuts loosen is the hot cold cycle. If you think about it, going inside and outside all the time, the antenna would loosen naturally unless they secured it. I think this is what you found.
