    Hi everyone,

I purchased a bellagio designs case for my Treo 300 based on some recommendations on this forum. When I received it, I loved the design but noticed that the plastic strip running across the center to hold the Treo in covers the top line of keys on the keyboard. I thought it was just an issue with mine, but according to the company it is the same with all of them and they'll be making a case specifically for the Treo 300 in the future (no ETA).

Should I suffer with this one (it's not limiting, just annoying)? Does anyone else have a recommendation that does fit the Treo 300 of the same design type?

    Thanks,
    iTreo

http://casetechworks.com has one specifically for the treo 300 of the same design. I too got the bellagio model hoping it would fit my 300. Same problem, it doesn't fit. I kept it though because I didn't want to pay the higher price of the casetech one; i.e. $30+shipping wound up being $20 more expensive than the bellagio because they have free shipping.

Unlike others, I recommend getting the model *with* the belt clip. The clip itself may be a piece of crap, but the nub on the case itself is solid and metal and that's hard to add at a later time. It's also not that big so if you don't use it, it shouldn't get in the way.

There is also this Belkin case, which looks pretty cool, and is also inexpensive.

It looks a little funny, like the clear plastic covers the whole screen. WTF!

    Hi Potatoho,

Thanks for replying. I just wanted to confirm:
    * You have the Treo 300
    * You have the CaseWorks Treo 300 case
    * The case fits the T300 perfectly, without covering keys, etc.

The reason I ask (again) is that the picture (http://www.casetechworks.com/cgi-bin...53b+1040085804) on the CaseWorks site looks *EXACTLY* like the case I purchased (and returned) to Bellagio Designs because the plastic strip covered the keys.

I don't mind paying a few extra bucks, I just want to protect my T300 and get what I pay for. Thanks again for your help.

I don't have a CaseWorks case, so I can't say if it fits etc, just that they make a specific model for the 300 presumably because the other models won't fit right. My understanding is that the 300 is slightly longer than the other treos and the bottom is also shaped a little differently.

Something which has come up before, was that bellagio has sent out two different styles. Some have received a case with plastic on the bottom which covers the scroll buttons and the four app buttons. That one is very similar, if not identical, to the caseworks. Mine, on the other hand, has more trimmed plastic on the bottom and does not cover any keys, however the case was very tight and I had to use goop to hold it in place to keep the center plastic strip from resting over the top row.

    Here is how mine looks:

I am using the case from Belkin. I would highly recommend it. Yes, the plastic does cover the screen and the stylus still works good.
It also has plastic covering the outside and inside of the cover. Talk about protection. And it fits really good. You could easily trim the plastic covering the screen if you didn't like it.

Previously I tried the case (pouch) from Handspring and a universal pouch from Home Depot. The Home Depot one is great and only $5 bucks. Look in the tool section. OTC is the brand.

I wanted something to leave on the 300 instead of a pouch.

Did you order that direct from Belkin? Have you seen it at any stores, such as Circuit City, which also carries Belkin cases?

I'm definitely sold on flip cases. Other than that, I would just carry it in my front pocket. Though, a few days before my flip case arrived, I shoved an empty pistol magazine halfway into my pocket before I realized my beloved treo was still in it. Scraaaape Ugh, oh well, at least I'll be able to tell mine apart from others now.

I looked around locally at Circuit City and other places and no luck. So I ordered it online from Belkin. Someone else had a link posted to their website.
