Hey metsfan! (or any other programmer wanting to gain loving fans with a really useful hack ;-)

What we need is a hack that will set our ringtone of choice after a soft reset. With the T-mobile GPRS update, many of us are stuck with that damn T-Jingle thing, and missing calls, after a soft reset. A simple hack to re-reset the ringtone of our choice would be a wonderful asset to Treo users until the situation is officially resolved (which might be never, since it might have been intentional).

    PLEASE??????!

I'll look into it, but I can't promise anything.

Unfortunately, the power/hotsync connector on my Treo just crapped out (second time this has happen... maybe I should get a cradle for development instead of a cable), so I have to wait for the replacement to do any more work on it.

    1) Get the cradle. I did, and it's worth every penny! Then you can use the original cable thing as a travel charger. :-)

    2) Dude! I will SO be a alpha/beta/whatever tester if you want to take a crack at it! I have no fear. Send me something you haven't even tested on POSE! Just a few minutes ago I almost missed another call because of that effing T-Jingle. I had a soft reset this morning, and of course I forgot to reset my ringtone. ugh!

    Thanks!

    Hurray!
Installing and testing..... (on a Treo with more than a screen full of hacks listed in X-master...)

It worked! I can rest easy again, knowing my ringtone will always be loud enough to actually hear! YAY!!!!!!!!
