Five days and I'm happy as a pig in slop.

    1. It's a good phone. Clear sound (mic and ear), convenient button placement, full-featured (good speakerphone, speed dial, excellent phone book, etc.).

    2. It's a solid PDA. It's Palm 3.5. You get all the good built-in apps and the gagillion or so other apps available from third-party vendors. And it's got a built-in keyboard that really works great.

    3. Sprint's coverage is great in my area. I'm no traveling salesman, but tooling around Richmond during the week and along the major highways that criss-cross Virginia on weekends, Sprint has always been more than adequate (I've been a Sprint customer for some time).

    4. The web access is spectacular. Always on, always fast. E-mail (I've settled on Eudora's freely available Palm client), regular full-color web pages (not just WAP crap): what more could you ask for?

    5. It fits in my pocket.

Complaints? None, really. None of any significance. It'd be nice if it had an expansion slot. Whatever. I don't really miss it. And I wish it would let you load regular MIDI files for ringtones (like my last phone did, the Sanyo SCP-6200). I'm not going to use some less-than-stable hack just to be able to load crappy proprietary ringtones. But if that's the biggest downside to the Treo, I'll take it. Besides, a couple of the built-in ringtones are quite nice (you gotta love "Sparkle!").

The Treo is is an outstanding step in the right direction.

sheesh, i just hope you are looking for an expansion slot so you can add memory, not so you could fulfill the title of your post!!

kidding of course. i like my treo a lot too, and it is definitely a grand step forward in combined devices. it will only get better from here!

i guess i'm not surprised. throughout history, whatever form of communication existed, sex was part of it... personally, i say sex is NOT a spectator sport

I've got to wonder -- how many people think the speakerphone on the Treo 300 is good?

And if you think it's good, does 'good' mean "it technically functions," or what?

I personally find that the speakerphone will do in a pinch, but the sound quality is VERY tinny and not all that loud (though loud enough).

I may be spoiled from the Hitachi P300 which had a good quality speakerphone though.

Or maybe my speaker is more tinny that most? Or maybe I'm just more picky?

I think the speaker phone is ideal when you need to check something on the screen or write a note in the middle of a call, that's what it is designed to do, and it does it right.

You should not expect a conference room quality out of it though!

    Just my 2 cents....

Hey Aarons12.. Cool pic uou got under your name! Just be careful that he doesn't eat your Treo when he gets bigger. I have heard horror stories "My Dog ate my PDA".

And Skidoo... I agree with your. My Treo 270 has become my companion. It goes everywhere with me -- something I cannot say for the other PDAs I have owened (All BIsors).
