I just purchased a Treo 300 at Best Buy for $374.99 (they're running a 25% off sale). I also bought a two year warranty from Best Buy for $40, but I'm having second thoughts. I note that the Handspring warranty is for a year only.

Does anyone have any thoughts about the Best Buy warranty, or if there's a better one out there. I do have 15 days to cancel the warranty.

    Regards,
    Wayne C.

Not sure, but I would imagine the Best Buy warranty for 2 years would replace your unit if it went bad. Better than 1 year, right?

Normally, I shy away from service warranties but this one sounded good for the following reasons:

    1) Ostensibly a quick and easy switch if you have problems. I'm coming off the 180 so I'm expecting problems.
    2) Two years is longer than the Handspring warranty so I'm getting added protection in case of #1
    3) If the item is discontinued (which you know it will be before the two years is up), you get store credit on a new device.

To me, item 3 is essentially an opportunity for cheap upgrades.
