I would like to send/receive SMS in Chinese with my Treo 180g. SMS sent to me in Chinese appear as garbled symbols even though I activate the CHOS app on my Treo.

Does Treo support Chinese simplified or traditional for the SMS app? I would appreciate if you could point to the site for more info or download the add-on programs.

    Thanks in advance.

I use CHOS (Chinese Operating System) from http://www.waterworld.com.hk for reading/writing both simplified and traditional Chinese on my Treo 180g.

Great stuff....check it out at the site.

Register it with Water Lou and get excellent support for future upgrades!

    1. Can the CHOS also send/receive Chinese SMS?
    2. Can one use PINYIN to input Chinese?
    3. Can one use the pen to write CHinese characters on the TREO 600?

I've seen some posts in this thread on a Singapore forum about Chinese SMS. It's saying you need to upgrade to the latest firmware and run some other particular software.
