I have been using PalmOS for over 10 years, and I live and die by the PIMS (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks Memos) for my daily work. I use Palm Desktop 6.2 on Windows XP, installed on the C: drive. I now have a situation where I need to install Palm Desktop on an external disk drive (USB connected) such as Western Digital or similar, instead of the C: drive. I have tried this, but it does not work e.g. HotSync does not handle it. My question the the community is - Does anybody have Desktop working from a USB connected drive? Are there any tech hints about how to do this?
