When you write something in Wordsmith, things come out underlined, bold, etc. I know it "clues" the word processor in by using tags, like <b> for bold toggle.

When you copy and paste and apply to a Word document, it doesn't come out in rich text format (RTF), it still has the tags.

For example, while I was taking notes in my C++ class:

    "<b>for</b> loops
    <b>while</b> loops
    <b>if </b>statement"

What can I do to make these tags work again in Word?

It sounds like you're not saving them as WordSmith documents, but as Memo's instead. WordSmith will let you format memo content with bold, etc, and display them correctly. When you view the memo (in Memo Pad on the handheld, for example), you get all the embedded RTF tags displayed as text along with the content.
