Called Sprint at *2 on the drive home this evening. A rep there actually accidentally activated my phone (or at least tried) and deactivated my old phone. My Treo 300 worked (for voice only) for about a half hour then crapped out. Called back to *2 four times since then and have been told nobody should have done that and that in fact, I should not have even been sold a Treo 300 until Sunday when the rollout starts. Interesting. I guess it is just too early right now for Sprint to really know what is going on, but funny none the less. So looks like I am back to my old SCH 8500 for now, will carry the Treo 300 as my "palm" until Sunday when I can activate 3g service "for real"
