While looking at the HandSpring website this weekend I noticed the software running on the picture of the Treo 180 on the main page (http://www.handspring.com/). what software is it? I thought maybe it was an alternate view for the contact list (with lines to deliniate between contacts), which would be great... but I can't replicate the view.

    Anyone know?

Your right. It would be great if they added a line between contacts in the contact view it would be easier to navigate -

I get the distinct impression that Handspring dont want you to use Contacts in the same way as AddressBook. Otherwise they would have included view options and sorting options such as By Company.

The first week I had Treo I reacted to this Handspring presumption and insisted on installing some Address Book replacements so that I could look up info the old way. I have to admit that I removed AddressPro after a week of this and went back to the super fast Cntacts lookup feature. I just use the scroll buttons and spacebar to open records I need after the fast lookup.

AddressPro is one alternate at: http://www.palmgear.com/software/sho...m?&prodID=3225

AddressPlus is another worthy alternate with some useful group action features:

Both of these apps still use the same database as Contacts - you get the best of both worlds. You can easily setup one of these as an Option+Contacts button for launch if you need the more traditional AddressBook look.
