    700 euros without service activation is too much for the treo. My last chance to get one is using the Visorphone discount and buy it in the US (but I would prefered the 900-1800 one..)
    Check it at www.handspring.co.uk

    Not much better down under...
    AUD 1399 without activation == 825 Euro == 720 USD..

    "American" goods are usually more expensive down under and in Europe and less expensive in Japan and South Asia... A pair of Levis cost almost twice the price in Australia and Europe (according to many tourists I spoke to when I was working a retail store).

    In Italy, you can buy a Visor Prism for Euro 400 and a Ericsson T39M with 280 Euro.

    The total is 680 Euro, but your Ericsson'll have:

    TRIBAND (900-1800-1900)
    GPRS

    I'm an happy Prism owner, but I'm sure Handspring'll have a big flop with this price.

    Look what it's happening with Motorola Accompli 008. I never saw somebody using it, and the price are falling day by day in the shop....

    ciao

    Totally agree with you, robertocravero.
    If Handspring wants to sell the treo in Europe, they have to low the price...

    I think it's priced too high everywhere, even in the States.

    I think that's why they didn't sell many Edges either (price was too high, although you can get an Edge for a great price right now).

    Maybe when the initial run on Treos dies down (you know the people who gotta have the new toy, no matter how expensive it is) Handspring'll realize they need to lower the price.

    …maybe…

    I know that's why I like webstores and my occasional trip to the US...
