I use DateBk4. I like to create a ToDo item and set an alarm for it.

However, when the alarm goes off, there doesn't seem to be a "done" check box. The only way I can mark it as "done" is to edit the item and click "done" there.

Does anyone know of a better way?

    Thanks.

On the Day View screen, there should be a square box to the left of the ToDo item. Tapping it will "check" it as complete.

What I'm talking about is when the alarm dialog comes up--there is no way of marking that item as done.

I have to either click "Edit" then "done" then "ok". OR click "OK", DB4, or ToDo and find that ToDo item and mark it as "done".

I'd like to see a "done" check box on alarm dialog--I was hoping that someone knew of a way have one show up.

Theoretically, when you setup a ToDo with a reminder, the alarm rings to remind you to do whatever the task was (and in most cases, the task actually needs to be performed). When the task is done, you go back to your ToDo list and check it off as complete. I couldn't find any supporting info anywhere, but I have to believe that's the intent behind timed ToDo's and Floats.

In the real world, however, everyone has different needs and does things in different ways. A way to set ToDo's (and Floats) as 'done' when the alarm goes off would be nice.

Yes, I suppose that would be the way most people would do it. But MOST of my ToDo items are of the type that once you start, you keep going until it's finished.

i.e. call Joe about the meeting, email Jim the information. Etc, so generally once the reminder pops up, I mark it done and perform the task--if I haven't already.
