Today Opera launched the beta version 5:

I want to share the news and I'm going to try it right away now!

Don't forget to check the video:

PS. Sorry about the link, I'm a new user.

Let us know how it works. I'm till using Opera mini 3 instead of 4 because of freezing issues on my Centro.

Doesn't work, I've already tried both the JAR and JAD files.

    Big bummer, it looks great!

    No success here too!

I tried the "J9 Exchanger" and the "JVM Midlet Installer" on my TX.
The beta is stored in RAM under "J9 Java Launcher" but it's not a prc. So maybe I need to install more JVM parts?

I hope this is not to common, because I'm about to install 4.2 on my Centro!

Will have to try the new Opera as soon as I get my phone charged. I'll update on how it works with me.

Here is the .prc file created from jad2prc. It will * not * install, however. Maybe someone would like to have a go with it....

What about Opera 5 for Centro? I can only find version 4 ...

Opera Mini 5 is still in the Beta stage and apparently there are no plans to make a version for Palm OS.

And what about security patches for Opera Mini 4 (for Palm OS). Will it be still developed?

Any updates to getting Opera Mini 5 on a Centro? Talked my sister into uninstalling her working Opera 4 and looked like a fool when 5 wouldn't install!
