Here's my second question about using Palm DeskTop:

    2. I need more fields for info about contacts in the
Address Book. For example, I need to enter the person's Skill, Internet Address, networking contact, etc. as fields, in addition to all the phone/fax/e-mail/pager/mobile phone entries. However, there are only four Custom fields that can be alotted for all these different things.

Is it possible to add more fields in the Palm Desk Top Address Book that will synch to Address Book on the Handspring? Or do I just have to juggle the standard ones that are available?

    Thank you.

There's no way to add more fields to the Datebook. You could use the note field for some of that additional info.

Or you can use a database program such as ThinkDB which allow you to have up to 80 fields. It syncs with Microsoft Access (with an addon) and it is a desktop component as well.

    Thank you MarkEagle and Yardie.

Yardie, please tell what you mean by ThinkDB being a "desktop component." Does that mean it integrates with the Palm Desktop software or that it has a stand-alone component that appears on the PC?

    Thanks again for your help.

ThinkDB has a desktop component. It also syncs directly with MS Access with a an addon called DBSync. I am not very fond of the ThinkDB Desktop but it is useable.
