... has a "paper" tape display? If it does other things too, that would be cool.

    thanx.

    Like the built-in calculator?

    I've decided to become enigmatic.

I assume you mean one that simulates the paper strip of a printing calculator, right?

From least to most expensive... Sorry, no freeware that I know of.

No, the built-in one doesn't have the "paper" tape display, which is why I asked here. This feature is very useful if you are adding up bills or bank accounts, among other things.

Many thanks. The Tap N Tape looks quite interesting. However, in the meantime, I did find a free one. You can find it here (it's the Personal version). I've been using it and it is very nice -- it includes a business mode with several functions, math with several different functions and a "general" mode which includes a time calculator. For free especially, I highly recommend it.

Minor clarification on what ****-richardson mentioned. If one sets the built in calculator to Basic mode (Menu / Options / Change Mode... / Basic / OK), there is then a Recent Calculations dialog box that one can pull up (Menu / Options / Recent Calculations). This dialog box is similar to what you want; however it only displays the last 10 or 12 operations.
