heh, i suppose its almost heresy to some, but I really would like a 'desktop' and some 'folders' on my visor. is there such a launcher? (besides 'home'. that takes too long to customize)

I have a webcomic. You should read it, or I may do something rash. Drive-by Loitering is updated every monday, wednesday and friday.

You're kidding, right? Bachmann Software makes a file manager app that is similar to Windows Explorer.

I think there was a launcher called GoBar that provided a Win9x looking interface, although we may be back to your "too long to configure". I stopped using it intially as it wouldn't remember the categories for my apps stored on a Flash Springboard. That was a long time ago, though, they may have fixed it.

i would suggest megalauncher by megasoft2000 (Megasoft2000 Website ) It has a windows-like interface, a file explorer and many other features built into it.

You may want to take a look at PocketFolder though. It's received some favorable reviews but it crashes with fatal errors on my Prism when I start it. I suspect that may be because my Prism has 16MB memory.

Nope. Not because your Prism has 16mb. Mine only has 8, and it crashed mine too. I was thinking that it had something to do with my Memplug. I don't have the PiVFS installed, so I wonder if that had something to do with it. Do you have a Memplug too?

Crashed mine too. As soon as I disabled Pidirect and PiVFS it worked. But that defeats the purpose doesn't it....

Another Great Launcher that I have had great succes with is Launch' em III. It has tabs that you can name and put where you want and then everthing else is drag and drop. It works very well.
