I tried making a derivative custom ROM out of the stripped Palm 1.12 ROM posted here but I must have chopped out too much as my Treo 680 resets in an infinite loop.

Which of the files below are required for the Treo to work properly?

    aacHelper.prc
    aacPlusCodec.prc
    BlazerApp.bprc
    BlazerApp_CROW.cprc
    BlazerApp_CROW_enUS.lprc
    BlazerApp_enUS.oprc
    DefConnectionDB_jpJP.pdb
    Graffiti2Lib.bprc
    Graffiti2Lib_enUS.oprc
    kinomaAACLib.prc
    MMSTransport.prc
    MMSTransportLib.bprc
    MMSTransportLib_CROW.cprc
    MMSTransportLib_CROW_enUS.lprc
    MMSTransportLib_enUS.oprc
    PhoneAppFavoritesLib.bprc
    PhoneAppFavoritesLib_CROW.cprc
    PhoneAppFavoritesLib_CROW_enUS.lprc
    PhoneAppFavoritesLib_enUS.oprc
    PhoneCallLog.bprc
    PhoneCallLog_CROW.cprc
    PhoneCallLog_CROW_enUS.lprc
    PhoneCallLog_enUS.oprc
    PhoneFavorites.bprc
    PhoneFavorites_CROW.cprc
    PhoneFavorites_CROW_enUS.lprc
    PhoneFavorites_enUS.oprc
    PhoneIncomingCall.bprc
    PhoneIncomingCall_CROW.cprc
    PhoneIncomingCall_CROW_enUS.lprc
    PhoneIncomingCall_enUS.oprc
    Ping.prc
    PmCallLogDB.prc
    PmCarrierCustomizationLib.prc
    PmPPPNetIFLib.bprc
    PmPPPNetIFLib_enUS.oprc
    SLIPNetIFLib.bprc
    SLIPNetIFLib_enUS.oprc
    SslLib.bprc
    SslLibCrypto.bprc
    SslLibCrypto_enUS.oprc
    SslLib_enUS.oprc
    TelephonyInterfaceLayer.prc
    TelephonyUI.bprc
    TelephonyUI_CROW.cprc
    TelephonyUI_CROW_enUS.lprc
    TelephonyUI_enUS.oprc
    TreoSMSLibrary.bprc
    TreoSMSLibrary_enUS.oprc
    TreoSMSStubApp.prc
    WiredCarKit.bprc
    WiredCarKit68KApp.prc
    WiredCarKit_enUS.oprc

I figured most of it, such as the MMS/SMS/Telephony/SSL/SLIP/PPP/Etc... was useless as I don't plan to use any of the phone functions (I'm only going to be using it for medical applications and it isn't on a network) but apparently the OS still needs some of it.

If any of the custom ROM experts here can give me a hand with figuring out what needs to be added back in I would appreciate it so I can re-flash my ROM.

Or because it's stuck in this loop it has been properly brickified with no hope for recovery?

Have you tried running the official updater(s) from Palm to at least put your device back into the factory state? This list shows which files to safely remove from the ATT ROM v1.12. Good luck.

Updater didn't work, it couldn't connect to the phone.
