    Emphasis on threaded - I'm too used to Gmail's threading to use something else (so Chatter doesn't count.)

    Really, I'd like a push Palm OS-native version of the Gmail J2ME app, but I know that's not gonna happen.

    I think you are pretty much out of luck. The only application that can push GMail on to a PalmOS phone is Chattermail. You should consider a G1, that can push GMail from one account and supports lots of GMail features.

    Well, the Sprint Mobile Email app on my Centro seems to be push, too... I'm just using that.

    And, no to the G1... I don't feel like betatesting Android.

    I have to admit that I haven't looked at my cellphone providers email solution (I am with AT&T). I take it the Sprint solution does not provide the threaded messaging you are looking for.
