Hi. Just got a centro. Is it okay to just restore my treo 680 backup on SD card onto my centro and operate as usual?

Or do I gotta load everything one by one like I did initially on my 680?

    Thanks

It would be worth the effort to selectively restore the things so you don't get any 680 system files overwritting the centro. Spending the hour now to do it could save you hours of debugging later.

I see your point. I would have though same os, same version, same files.

There are enough subtle differences to warrant the selective restore. I would do what cavingjan suggested rather than have to hard reset down the road.

Same OS, not the same versions of all the software (as people have noted already) and very different drivers and subsequent support files.

if you use resco backup, use pre set functions such as Phone, Contacts etc.
    It backup your contact etc.

This is the best way to do a backup.

What I did is after SD backup, I restore it in centro then delete my user name in palm desktop, and when resync I use the same user name in palm desktop.

It is guarantee 100% perfect sync.
