The number is in the body of the email. Usually chatter recognizes phone numbers but some times is does not. When it does not I try to use the TP capture but it does not work. I then highlight the number, do a copy function, go to TP dial screen and do a paste. it dials fine then.

    Hi,

I guess Chatter handles that copy action in some internal way.

    Shimon,
Here's a suggestion: In the fullscreen ibar view, how would it be to do away with the top bar, move the i-bar icons up, so there would be room at the bottom for the bottom tabs? It might be more intuitive to keep the bottom tabs on all views, especially for a new user (I have to admit, for a long-term user, tho', I still haven't gotten used to those tabs disappearing on that view). I know we'd be giving up the information that displays at the top (ringer vol, signal strength, battery) on the fullscreen ibar view, but I see those things as less important to "see" on that particular tab than on the other views, which deal specifically with phone functions. Thoughts?

I agree, I've been missing the phone function buttons at the bottom of the i Bar screen also.

Sounds like a good idea to me too. I don't pay much attention to the info on the top bar anyways, since the font is too small for me to see. I also don't need the time on the very top because I use the clock skin.
    .

VERY happy user of these GREAT apps:

Shimon, if you do implement this request, would you please make it an option? I completely respect what the others are saying, but I often keep my Treo on the i-Bar screen and I make phone calls using i-Bar entries. I like being able to see signal strength, time, bluetooth status, etc. in the i-Bar screen. For me, it's less important to have the tabs on that screen and I've gotten used to pressing the phone button to get to the tabs on the other screens.

By the way, thanks for one of the greatest apps ever!!

I'd also like to see it as an option.
I always check BT and battery before I dial.

This just goes to show the variety of ways people are using your great program, Shimon! I certainly understand where those users are coming from who use the fullscreen i-bar as more of a dialer than a program launcher. I'd be okay with it as an option (not that we're trying to make your job more complicated or anything )

I was trying to see if there was a way to show both. I don't think there is enough vertical room even if you remove all of the spacing between the cells to do both.

I actually use mine as both -- a few of my most-dialed numbers (except that for things like my cell, home and work voicemail, I use speed dial numbers, which work just fine from the i-Bar view without taking up i-Bar space) are the top i-Bar entries, then the rest of the i-Bar page is taken up as a launcher for my most-used programs, with others on the next page accessed by using the "Alt" button. Using the i-Bar view along with High-Launcher gives me ready access to just about every app I ever use. As I said, TAKEphONE is one of the best apps ever!

    Hi all,

Main problem I see is with the skins - many skins have the top title bar implanted as part of the background image, so for it to go away I will have to move the skin up, which may not look as sleek.

I like the way it is. if I want to leave the iBar page I just navigate up past the top line of the iBar then I have access to the tabs. I admit I only have 8 iBar entries though and really use none of them. They are mostly cosmetic for me.

Could you have the bottom bar overlay on top of the ibar when the menu button is pressed? Kinda crude but it should be effective. Not sure if its the best solution to the problem either but it's an idea.

    Hi all,

    Version 7.70 (009) posted at www.shsh.com/beta

    - Time & date on top: added option to show time only.

    - Time & date on top: text color is set according to
“Show radio icon in white” option.

    - Find: fix for numbers lookup – ignore non-digits
    (e.g. 212-222-3333).

    - General: fix to recognize “wap” as a URL prefix.

Note: afraid I decided (cause of the skins issues) that showing tabs
in the full-screen i-Bar is not possible. Sorry...

    Thanks.

Reference Find, I was thinking more along the lines of finding any matching string. Say I type 1212, TAKEphONE would find 904-555-1212 and 904-631-2125. Or maybe I want find all numbers with a prefix of 228.

If I'm the only one wanting Find to work this way, don't worry about changing it Shimon.

    Hi,

You can do this if you select to search "within words" and enter the number using the OPTION key.

No problem. Not a major issue, and I certainly appreciate not wanting to have to rework skins

Thanks, didn't know it worked within numbers too.
