Was just reading the interview with Alexander Hinds of Blue Nomad over at Brighthand.com -- very interesting.

Besides some hints as to new BackupBuddy and WordSmith features, Hinds was asked what new products Blue Nomad was working on. His answer:
We've begun developing a spreadsheet application and integrated suite using the same core technologies that we're using in WordSmith.
Works for me. I've already dropped QuickWord, and while I am reasonably happy with QuickOffice, I could see phasing it out for something with even better Excel integration and text formatting features (like, oh, I don't know... FineType?)
