    Hi guys,

I'm looking for a travel application for my Centro. Something that enables me track my flight status.

If I can get it a currency converter and some hotel information on this application that would be great.

    Maybe I'm asking too much?

Here's the flight status. Best application and it's free. I donated to him as it's really worth something.

I don't travel a lot, but I'm pretty sure you can get hotels info using Blazer and/or Google Maps.

That currency converter is great. We're going to Italy next month for three weeks and I've only had an internet site before and it's nowhere near as fast as that. Thank you.

Just text your flight number to 466453 (‘GOOGLE’ on most mobile devices), and the status information will be sent back to you.

On the sample screen, UK isn't using Euro and for the currency selection options, some people still have the former currencies so those have a fixed conversion to Euro at the time of switchover.

Well I knew about the UK but what you've said about the others now make sense.

Does anyone know if there any way to change the default currency to the US Dollar?

Choose "select" then drag and drop on the right side of screen to reflect the order you want.

I use Pocket Express on my AT&T Treo 750. It's a single application that has flight status info, top news feeds from AP, Stock quotes, sports news and movie theater info.
Everything in one place and it just works great..I think it will work on the centro as well.

Anyone else have any thought on it?

Thanks for all the tips guys, while all the apps you've pointed out so far have been good. I have to say Pocket Express is the most extensive and diversified application listed. While the others do serve their purposes well. Pocket Express have extra features which I've found really great.

Obtaining the software was very simple. And it really filled out my travel feature requirements. It has flight status and a currency converter. Not to mention hotel information and tons of airline contact information which I think could prove very very useful in the future.

But really its the other 11 channels of great stuff that make it a really pleasant surprise. News, sports etc. Like PerryW mentioned. My centro is so so so much more powerful now.

Check it out here : http://express.handmark.com

That's a new (for me) channel in Pocket Express (Travel, I mean), it looks nice.

I had that app installed a couple years ago and it didn't have that travel thing back then. I have a question though, is Travel one of the free channels or is it by subscription fee? It isn't clear on their website. In one page is listed as free and in another page there's a listing of their free channels and Travel isn't included.

BTW, I ended up deleting Express back then because I only REALLY used (as in real-life usage) one of the channels, and it was too big an app to have installed (even after moving some channels to the expansion card) just for one channel usage.

    Hi

I just went into PE Travel (I am into news several times a day) to check what is free and what is not. Flight status requires a subscription while the rest appears to be free.

AT&T has a free promotion for Pocket Express on it's media mall site. I believe the travel channel is free (not trial). That's where I downloaded from and it was free. Let me know if you need the link.

Yes and you get so many other features for free as well, it makes Pocket Express worth trying. Haven't heard about the promotion that perryw mentions, but it sounds good!
