    Driving me nuts over here.
I have been trying to get this nav on my Treo all day. I loaded the software off the CD and Hotsync'ed it and it took FOREVER to complete. It finally did though after maybe an hour. Next I moved onto the maps. The Hotsync seems to get hung up. It just sits there saying its trying to sync the maps (only did one section of the US). I left it there for about 45mins and its still said the same thing.
I then tried the voices and that synced with no problems. Any idea why my sync is taking SO long and getting hung up? Such a pain.
    Thanks

Oh, I am using a MAC G5. I'm sure that makes thing worse:-)

Anyone out there that can help?

Is there a way to manually load the maps onto my memory card and not have to go thru TomTom's automatic setup?

Did you get it working? You don't have to use their util... just copy them over. If you never got it working I can give you the directory structure...

I never got it working thought I didnt try anything else. If you could help, that would be great.
I really just need to know what files I need to pull off the CD and where to put them on my phone. Thats what you mean, right? I'm a noobie to all this.
    Thanks

Okay, I use TomTom v6 for Palm OS, but I maintain that you can still copy the files over w/o any utilities other than Windows Explorer. The following is a list of my directory structure as it appears on the SD Card. Only thing missing is the .prc that you can have in RAM to open TomTom. Hope this helps.

    Folders:

    Code:
    J:\itn
    J:\Map - North America

Also, you'll notice that some dirs are actually empty. This is, apparently, normal.

Thanks for taking the time. I will have to give it go. Looks a little confusing now but might make more sense when I get to the office. Will let you know what happens.
    Thanks again.

After re-reading your initial post, if the hotsync truly was trying to copy over the maps, it would take forever, like probably more than all night. The maps for v6 are around 1 GB. Hotsyncing that would probably take all week.

Insert SD card into USB reader and copy thattaway.

Ok then, what exactly should I be copying over? What files(extensions) for say the north east American maps?
