Shimon, is it possible to pull over more information into the keygaurd than just the high/low for the day, icon, location, and conditions? I'm not overly happy with the way nexave is displaying things so I was going to see about removing some of the undesireable info. The source code look simple enough to just comment out some things. If I could open up enough free space, I was thinking we would have room for maybe current conditions, today's forecast and tomorrow's forecast. Or at least the first two.

On a side note: is the phone reception logo supposed to show the number of bars for service or does it just show on/off?

    Hi,

I will need to discuss this with Henk.

    Thanks.

    Hi all,

    New version - 1.90 (025) - posted at www.shsh.com/beta

    - KeyGuard: added 'current conditions' to saved database
(so KeyGuard developers can display it if they choose to).

    - General: pressing 'down' on last screen loops back to top one.

    Thanks.

    I saw that. Thanks.

I think when I get back in town next week I am going to spend some time and try to shuffle around the info I want and see what I can do.

Shimon, is there any way you could also talk to Henk about this:

I prefer to use Nexave instead of Butler's keyguard. I like Nexave's features/setup better than Butler.

I don't like to set up my keyguard via preference. Instead, I like to use "Option+Power" to manually turn on the keyguard.

But, when I use "Option+Power", the regular keyguard comes on for a sec, which is fine with me, and then I either let it 'timeout' or I push the Power button to turn off my phone.

When I turn the phone back on, Nexave comes on like it should. However, if the keyguard times out, or I turn the power, and then turn it back on, the keyguard (in this case) should be Nexave, but I don't have a keyguard.

The "Option+Power" works as it should if I have Nexave disabled.

Does this make sense? In other words, by using "Option+Power" to manually set the keyguard, no matter how many times I let it timeout, or turn off via the red button, each subsequent time I turn my phone on, the keyguard Should come on, but it doesn't with Nexave, only if Nexave is disabled, then the "Option+Power" keyguard works as it should.

I noticed that behavior. I noticed in the documentation that nexave must have the keyguard set to "when power is turned off". We can't use one of the delay settings.

Henk... Are you monitoring here? Is there any chance of modifying the behavior mentioned in the last couple of posts? It does get quite aggravating constantly clearing the keyguard.

Another nice feature would be a setting to modify translucency of the keyguard screen. I'm using black background, but would like to use the transparent option if it weren't so transparent. My old eyes have a tough time reading it as configured.

    Thanks!

    Henk,

We appreciate you taking the time to spruce up a freeware app. Its obvious that there is nothing in it for you, except just to be nice. Thanks.

Nice update Henk! Very nice. Thank you.

The TimeOut is great, numeric signal strength is very helpful at times, and the Trans/Black helps my old eyes - though an overall transparency modifier would really kick some ****.

I noticed you have kMeteo integrated. Is there a way for those of us with both kMeteo and 4cast to select which app nexave parses its data from? 4cast appears to be the default.

And look... The Auto-Keyguard can be great than zero!!

cavingjan, the panl prc is so you can run nexave as an application or keep it contained in your preferences application to avoid launcher clutter.

IS the signal gauge acurate for the GSM phones? I know they are off for the CDMA phones. I do have the numbers for you Henk.
    96-105 - 1 bar
    86-95 - 2 bars
    76-85 - 3 bars
    66-75 - 4 bars
    56-65 - 5 bars

I've tried to copy the way it is displayed in the OS gadget. But when I see your numbers, why is it less bars for better reception?

    Have you seen 1.5?
