Can someone explain what this feature does to me
I know my campus uses VPN for the internet-does this mean I can access the VPN Client (cisco) using the centro when on campus?

vpn is a virtual private network the palm centro doesn't have one built in, it will tell you to go to palm.com and buy one!

and for school its no used to connect to the internet (internet connection must be used to use a vpn)it is used to connect to their network for email or accessing files on a server but to just go on the internet that's wifi most schools offer that to get on the internet

But the screwy thing is, Palm no longer has any info on their site about VPN software for Palm OS. I tried searching in their software store, but "VPN" only turned up a Windows Mobile client.

There used to be a page on available VPN clients at http://www.palm.com/us/wireless/vpn/, but it now just redirects to a completely blank page (https://ws.palm.com/UrlRedirector/ap...wireless/vpn/). Looking at the last version of it available from archive.org, http://web.archive.org/web/200801201.../wireless/vpn/ (from January 2008), I see they did not list support for the Centro (or any recent Treos).

There's a thread talking more about this over in the 755p foum, VPN Client for 755p. (I guess this topic should ideally be discussed in the Palm OS communication software forum, but there are no threads there on VPN software newer than 2006.)
